In the summer transfer window, this is Manchester United’s final signing of the season.Manchester United has officially acknowledged that they have signed a superstar who is 23 years old.

Initially, Manchester United had their sights set on Sander Berge, but talks fell through, leading to his eventual signing with Fulham. With Berge off the table, Manchester United has now turned their attention to Manuel Ugarte, placing him at the top of their transfer priorities.

The 23-year-old Uruguayan midfielder has been frequently associated with a move to Old Trafford, and recent reports from Florian Plettenberg indicate that the discussions are progressing well.

According to Plettenberg, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are now in โ€˜advanced talksโ€™ over Ugarte, with both clubs edging closer to an agreement.

However, there remains some ambiguity regarding the nature of the transfer, with options still on the table for either a permanent deal or a loan with a mandatory purchase clause.

Plettenberg also mentions that while there is a verbal understanding with Ugarte, the deal is not yet sealed.

The holdup seems to stem from differing valuations. Manchester United is keen to secure Ugarte at the lowest possible cost, whereas PSG is steadfast in their demand for ยฃ51 million.

Ugarte, who specializes as a defensive midfielder, would be a strategic addition to Manchester United’s squad, particularly to provide depth and support for Casemiro, who might need occasional rest or could experience dips in form.

Despite having only been at PSG for a year, Ugarte appears keen on making the switch to Manchester United, with the transfer seemingly heading in a positive direction.
