Jadon Sancho is back at Carrington following clear-the-air discussions with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag. While both sides are ready to move forward, the club remains open to selling Sancho for £40 million.

Sancho’s return to Manchester United training this week follows his six-month loan at Borussia Dortmund. Renowned journalist Ben Jacobs, speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, disclosed that despite the reconciliation between Sancho and Ten Hag, the club is still considering offers for the winger this summer.

Sancho, who was sidelined at the start of the 2023/24 season after just three Premier League appearances, joined Dortmund to rejuvenate his career. The fallout with Ten Hag led many to believe he would be sold upon his return. However, Fabrizio Romano recently reported that the situation has been resolved, allowing Sancho to participate in pre-season activities.

Reports also suggest Juventus is interested in a player-swap deal involving Federico Chiesa. Despite Manchester United acquiring Sancho for £72 million three years ago, they are now looking for £40 million, marking a significant loss.

Jacobs: The Air ‘Has Been Cleared’ but Sancho Could Still Leave

Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT that while Sancho’s immediate future at Manchester United seems secure, the club will still entertain offers around £40 million. Jacobs stated:

“Sancho met with Erik ten Hag and the air has been cleared, which is why he is back in first-team training and available for selection if he stays at the club. And from Sancho’s perspective, it should be noted, he’s never had a problem with Manchester United.

“The meeting was important. It appeared for many months, even towards the back-end of the season, that the writing was on the wall for Sancho if Ten Hag stayed, but the door is open again now. Manchester United will still consider a sale since they would welcome a £40m fee to do other business.

“But that meeting was a crucial step and it takes away the urgency of having to resolve the Sancho situation immediately. Now Sancho and Ten Hag can move on and it puts United in a strong position to either use him or hold out for the fee they are looking for given suitors won’t be able to leverage an untenable situation to their advantage any longer.”
