Chelsea and England Star has been dropped from England’s Euros 2024 Squad, Gareth Southgate has been Ruthless

Two more players have reportedly missed out on England’s final 26-man team for Euro 2024.

Ahead of the summer’s competition, Gareth Southgate chose a 33-man temporary squad; seven of those members are expected to be dropped upon the publication of the final roster.

Following considerable conjecture on the forthcoming revelation, it turned out on Wednesday night that Spurs midfielder James Maddison will not be chosen to represent the Three Lions this summer.

The 27-year-old, who under Ange Postecoglou made 28 Premier League appearances last season, participated in the 3-0 friendly against Bosnia.

The midfielder will not accompany the final group to Germany, though.

Although Maddison was on the Qatar World Cup team for 2022, she did not make one single appearance during the event.

Curtis Jones will now be among the players missing out, it has also become clear.

Jones, who Liverpool’s past season made 36 appearances in all competitions, has already been advised he won’t be included into Gareth Southgate’s summer preparations.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool colleague Jarell Quansah is also ‘likely’ to miss out.

Southgate said he was amazed by what he seen from the 25-year-old Liverpool full-back who has become among the greatest in the world.

Speaking following the Bosnia game, he remarked, “We were quite happy. He is finding this character; he is keen to learn and has been since I spoke with him about playing it a year or so ago; similarly, what we witnessed in the previous half an hour is also a crucial alternative for us as well.”

Southgate added: “We are going to have various difficulties in this tournament, and we are going to have to have different methods of tackling problems teams bring us.”
