❌ WORST CASE SCENARIO FOR MANCHESTER UNITED ❌ 😬 This is exactly what Erik ten Hag and Man Utd were desperate to avoid and now they face a huge decision… 🔴This shouldn’t happen now, when we’re just about to kick start the season 😢

Erik ten Hag faces a tough challenge with Alejandro Garnacho’s recent request as the 2024/25 season approaches.

Manchester United ended their season positively on Saturday by thwarting Manchester City from achieving a second consecutive double.

Despite this, Ten Hag oversaw United’s worst-ever Premier League finish, landing in eighth place after 38 games. This made their FA Cup victory essential for securing European competition next season.

In their 2-1 triumph at Wembley, teenagers Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho netted the decisive goals, underscoring their importance to the team.

Both Mainoo and Garnacho have become pivotal players for United this season, but Garnacho’s potential departure this summer could put the club in a challenging position.

Reports from TNT Sports Argentina indicate that the Argentina national team has requested Garnacho be released from United to participate in the Olympic Games ahead of the new season.

The Olympics, scheduled from July 26 to August 11 in Paris, would overlap with two crucial weeks of United’s pre-season preparations for an improved 2024/25 campaign.

This scenario could leave Garnacho with only one week of rest before the Premier League season starts on August 17th.

Given Argentina’s strong chances at the Olympics, and Javier Mascherano’s efforts to assemble a top-tier squad, including potential players from Chelsea and Aston Villa, United is unlikely to see Garnacho return early.

After a season plagued by injuries, the possibility of Garnacho having almost no rest before the new season is a significant concern for Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
