Luke Shaw, a left back, has also had a delay in his recovery from a calf strain. There is still hope that he will be able to play in the FA Cup final on May 25, though.
The good news for United is that Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay, and Marcus Rashford might be able to play in the game at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag told the press before the game, “Rashy trained this morning, and we need to see how he returned from this.”
“But I think it looks pretty good. I hope he can make it to the next practice tomorrow and then check to see if he can play on Sunday.”
“Bruno was on the pitch and Scott McTominay was on the pitch, so there are some guys coming back,” he said.
