DONE DEAL💥💣 “He was the reason why Bayern Leverkusen won their first ever league in German Bundesliga and I can’t believe that Manchester United have already signed him secretly. The best transfer Man United has ever made”- Manchester United have completed the signing Bayer Leverkusen star with £34m release clause! 💰

Manchester United have reportedly entered into discussions regarding the potential acquisition of Bayer Leverkusen’s talented right-back, Jeremie Frimpong, who originally emerged from Manchester City’s youth academy. According to insights shared by German journalist Christian Falk, as cited on Caught Offside, the Red Devils have engaged in what is described as ‘concrete talks’ with Frimpong. The young player has garnered significant acclaim at Leverkusen this season, playing a pivotal role in their Bundesliga title triumph under the management of Xabi Alonso.

Despite Frimpong being under contract with Leverkusen until 2028, there exists a release clause set at £34 million. This figure has captured the attention of Manchester United, hinting at the potential for his departure from the German club. Presently, Erik ten Hag’s options for the right-back position include Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, Wan-Bissaka’s injury struggles throughout the season, coupled with reported interest from Inter Milan, may create an opening for Frimpong to step in and potentially replace him.

Frimpong boasts a background in British football, having kickstarted his career in Manchester City’s youth setup. His journey commenced at the Etihad, where he made 21 appearances for the U21s, showcasing his talents with two goals and as many assists.

Adding an intriguing twist to the narrative, Manchester United recently welcomed Omar Berrada into their ranks. Berrada, previously serving as City’s chief football operations officer, is slated to transition into the role of chief executive at United come summer. With Berrada’s intimate knowledge of City’s operations, particularly during Frimpong’s tenure at the club, his presence may offer valuable insights into the young player’s abilities, potentially shaping United’s recruitment strategy moving forward.
