A new story says that Todd Boehly might not be able to keep his job as boss of the Chelsea board.

The Telegraph says that this is what happened. They say that the owners of Chelsea have a deal that lets them change who is chairman of the club every five years.

If Boehly gives up the job, Behdad Eghbali and Jose Feliciano, who own Clearlake Capital, may be in the running.

The American billionaire has been Chelsea’s leader since the company was taken over in 2022. Since then, they’ve spent more than £1b on players and coaches, but they haven’t been getting results.
