“He needs to improve his gameplay and Start performing in training in other to be selected in the first XI or he will keep warming the Bench- Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola issues warning message to Manchester City FLOP player
Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s manager, admits Jack Grealish is not getting enough playing time owing to his form.
The boss has also warned the midfielder that regaining his place in the starting lineup will be difficult.
“If Jack and Jeremy play, neither Phil nor Julian play. “It is what it is,” Guardiola told the City website.
“We need it. It’s gotten better. We have Oscar Bobb, who has had an incredible influence, but he did not play in the most recent game.
“It’s crucial because each game is 90, 95, or 97 minutes long, and we have players who can come off the bench and establish a rhythm.
“Remember when Kevin [De Bruyne] came back from the bench and helped us win the game?
“With so many games, it’s bound to happen. Everybody is going to play.
“Jack is taking steps to improve his performance. He is now competing with players that are playing at a very high level, and that is the sole reason.
“He has to regain his form, particularly from last season and throughout his time at Villa. I’m looking forward to giving him minutes.
“This season has been different than the previous one, but he is improving. That is exactly what we are looking for.
“As always, I am thrilled with all of my players, including Jack.
“It isn’t a huge problem. Completely the contrary. He is now taking initiatives to reach his full potential.
“We need him and everyone. We need Jack. I’m looking forward to seeing him back at his best and giving him minutes.”
