Germany International Jamal Musiala returning to the Premier League and joining shock club after announcing his departure from Bayern Munich this evening!

Contract talks between Jamal Musiala and Bayern Munich are still pending, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The German wonderkid has had an excellent start to the new year. Musiala scored twice in Bayern’s emotional return from their winter break, which also happened to be their first match since Franz Beckenbauer’s death, and was one of the greatest players on the pitch.

The teenager appeared to play with a little more freedom and swagger than he had throughout what has been a quiet season by his lofty standards. Against Hoffenheim, the 20-year-old once again demonstrated his abilities and why he is regarded as one of the world’s brightest prospects.

A lot has been said about Musiala’s future. Bayern are naturally desperate to keep one of the most promising homegrown talents in decades, but there are plenty of high-profile suitors out there. Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Chelsea have all been connected with the offensive midfielder.

Musiala, who spent time in England as a youth, including at Chelsea’s academy, has made no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League. His contract issue has set the English elite on edge.

Bayern had been in contact with the teenager about a new agreement last year, but an upheaval of their sporting management in the summer put contract negotiations on hold, and it appears the situation has not changed, which can only be good news for his fans.

“There has been no update on Jamal Musiala’s new deal,” Fabrizio Romano informed CaughtOffside. “Bayern is concentrating on the January window, thus there is no news on contracts. According to their director Christoph Freund, they clearly wish to maintain Musiala long term. I envision them talking with Musiala in the coming months, and we’ll see how the story unfolds.
