Manchester City are reportedly facing competition from Paris Saint-Germain for Joshua Kimmich, who wants the star either this month or in the summer.
It was recently rumoured that City are seriously contemplating signing Kimmich in the summer, when his market worth will have dropped dramatically – he might cost approximately £25 million because he only has one year left on his deal.
Kimmich is unlikely to leave Bayern Munich this month, according to Fabrizio Romano, because the club is banking on him as a crucial player.

According to L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Kimmich, with Nordi Mukiele perhaps moving the opposite way in a separate move.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg provided an update on Kimmich tonight, reiterating Romano’s claim that he will not leave the club in January.
However, he also states that PSG is interested and that the French giants, like City, might swoop for the midfielder in the summer.
He further claims that the interest in Kimmich is unrelated to the Mukiele deal that is currently being explored.
The Champions League club appears to be looking ahead to next season, and acquiring Kimmich would surely boost their team, just as it would City’s.
City must defeat PSG in the race for Kimmich.
So it appears that PSG also understood that Kimmich in a potential £25 million deal this summer would be a steal.
City must not allow the French giants to swoop in for the 28-year-old, who Jose Mourinho has previously described as “phenomenal.”
This is a player who has the potential to take City’s team to the next level. Playing alongside Rodri with the likes of Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne ahead of him is almost unfair and a formula for dominance.
It’s no surprise that PSG wants him as well. Kimmich, of course, has won the Champions League with Bayern, and that is the one title they haven’t won and so much want.
