MANCHESTER UNITED CONFIRM THEIR LINEUP AS DE LIGT RETURNS AFTER A LENGTHY ABSENCE

Manchester United are set for an intriguing showdown against Como, with Michael Carrick’s team selection attracting plenty of attention ahead of the encounter.

The confirmed starting XI features a combination of experienced players, creative midfielders and attacking talent as United look to deliver a strong performance. With competition for places increasing, every opportunity matters, and the players will be eager to demonstrate their quality on the pitch.

United will line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Senne Lammens starting in goal. Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui make up the defence, while Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and Mason Mount provide the midfield options. Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo will lead the attacking charge.

The return of Matthijs de Ligt to the starting lineup is one of the major talking points, particularly after his lengthy spell on the sidelines. However, United are still dealing with several injury setbacks, with Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw and Benjamin Šeško among those unavailable for the match.

Bruno Fernandes will be expected to drive United forward creatively, while Cunha and Mbeumo will look to trouble Como’s defence and make their opportunities count.

Playing in Italy will present its own challenges, and United cannot afford to underestimate their opponents. Carrick’s men must remain organised, compete for every ball and take advantage of their chances if they hope to secure a positive result.

All eyes will now be on the players as Manchester United look to rise to the occasion and deliver a performance their supporters can be proud of.
