SHOCK COMPARISON BETWEEN AMORIM’S FINAL RESULTS AND CARRICK’S RECORD SPARKS FRESH DEBATE AS UNITED FANS QUESTION THE CLUB’S MANAGERIAL DECISIONS
Manchester United supporters are questioning the club’s managerial decisions once again after a comparison between Ruben Amorim’s final results and Michael Carrick’s performances reignited the debate over the team’s direction.
The figures have left fans wondering whether United made the right decision by parting ways with Amorim and whether the club has genuinely improved since his departure.
Amorim’s final six results reportedly included one victory, one defeat and four draws. Although the Portuguese manager managed to secure positive results during that period, the inconsistent performances contributed to growing concerns about United’s progress under his leadership.
However, judging a manager solely by a short sequence of results can be misleading. Opposition strength, injuries, tactical adjustments and the overall circumstances surrounding each match must also be considered.
Carrick arrived with expectations of restoring confidence, improving performances and bringing stability to Old Trafford. Yet, questions about consistency have continued, with supporters demanding more victories and fewer disappointing results.
The situation has also reignited discussions about whether Amorim was entirely responsible for United’s struggles or whether deeper problems involving recruitment, squad balance and long-term planning played a significant role.
Changing managers repeatedly without addressing those underlying issues could leave the club trapped in another frustrating cycle.
United need a clear footballing vision, intelligent recruitment and players capable of delivering consistently under pressure. Carrick must demonstrate that he can organise the squad, correct tactical weaknesses and turn promising performances into victories.
Ultimately, supporters want more than temporary improvements. They want a team capable of challenging for major trophies again.
Was Amorim unfairly judged, and can Carrick finally lead Manchester United in the right direction?
