Carlos Baleba Completes Manchester United Medical as Blockbuster Transfer Moves to Final Stage

Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Carlos Baleba, with the Brighton midfielder reportedly completing his medical and agreeing to a five-year contract, plus an option extending his stay until 2032.

United have agreed a deal worth around £70 million, including £65 million guaranteed and £5 million in add-ons. Brighton will also receive a sell-on clause.

The 22-year-old is viewed as a strong, mobile midfielder capable of winning the ball, protecting the defence and driving forward. His arrival would be United’s third midfield signing of the summer after Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, highlighting Michael Carrick’s plans to reshape the position.

Baleba may not make an immediate debut as he continues recovering from an ankle injury. His first appearance could come against Manchester City on September 13.

United are also interested in Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde, but Baleba remains the main focus as his transfer approaches completion.
