Noussair Mazraoui reveals his best position at Manchester United after starring across the backline
Noussair Mazraoui has made it clear that he does not consider himself a player limited to one particular position at Manchester United, with the defender embracing his ability to operate in different roles across the backline.
The Moroccan international explained that throughout his career, he has never been attached to a specific position or demanded to play in one particular role.
🗣️ “I’ve had this question a lot of times in my career and I’ve never had a favourite one where I’ve been like, ‘This is where I’ll play and nowhere else.’”
Mazraoui has already showcased that versatility at United, featuring as a centre-back, left-back, right-back and wing-back depending on the tactical demands of the team.
🗣️ “You see that in a lot of games, I’m playing centre back, left back, right back, wing back, so no, I don’t have a favourite position.”
His willingness to adapt gives Michael Carrick an important tactical option, allowing the manager to move Mazraoui around the defence whenever injuries, formations or match situations require a change.
