Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of completing two more signings after reports claimed agreements were finalised late on Friday night. The two South American players are now expected to undergo medical examinations today, with the club edging closer to confirming another major boost to Michael Carrick’s squad ahead of the new season.
Away from those deals, Barcelona defender Jules Koundé has reportedly been made available to a number of top European clubs, including Manchester United. Despite the opportunity, the Red Devils are said to have no plans to pursue the France international, as the club’s recruitment team remains focused on strengthening the left-back position instead.
United are also continuing their search for further midfield reinforcements, even after reportedly securing the signing of Ederson Silva. Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni and Bournemouth star Alex Scott remain on the club’s shortlist, but both transfers are understood to be difficult because of high valuations and existing contractual commitments.
With several deals still being explored, it promises to be another eventful transfer window at Old Trafford as Michael Carrick continues building a squad capable of competing at the highest level.
