Despite Jack Grealish’s denial, Fluminense’s Melo has reiterated his assertion that he defended his team at the end of the Club World Cup final because the City player was disrespectful.

Players from both teams gathered shortly after the final whistle, with City having defeated Fluminense 4-0 to win the World Cup. Grealish and Walker were both involved, with Melo leading the Brazilian push. He later claimed that Grealish had been chanting ‘ole’ while City had the ball at the end of the game, but Grealish specifically denied that assertion on social media.
