Cole Palmer, 23, is reportedly growing frustrated with life at Chelsea and is said to be open to a move to Manchester United. Widely considered among the elite attacking midfielders in the world, Palmer made an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge, netting 38 goals across his first two seasons.
However, this campaign has proven more difficult, with persistent groin injuries hampering his form. He is also said to be unhappy with manager Liam Rosenior’s tactical approach, feeling it limits the space available to him. Palmer has also struggled to adapt following the departure of Nicolas Jackson, whose dynamic movement and pace had complemented his playmaking abilities well. Jackson joined Bayern Munich on a season-long loan after Chelsea brought in Joao Pedro and Liam Delap as replacements.
Despite his dip in form, Chelsea hold Palmer in very high regard and have no intention of selling him cheaply. The club are in a commanding position, with the England international tied down until 2033. Palmer, who can operate as an attacking midfielder, right winger, or centre-forward, is admired for his composure, vision, and clinical finishing.
Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the player, but Chelsea are demanding a fee in the region of £150 million should any club wish to pursue a deal.
