Bruno Guimarães has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United. His representatives are now pushing United to reach a full agreement with Newcastle United

Bruno Guimaraes’ representative is gearing up for what could be a major transfer saga this summer, with the Newcastle United midfielder’s future at the club hanging in the balance.
Manchester United have firmly set their sights on Guimaraes as they look to address the void left by Casemiro’s expected departure. While United plan to bring in more than one midfielder, landing a player of Guimaraes’ quality and experience would be an excellent foundation to build from. Interestingly, Casemiro himself has reportedly encouraged INEOS to pursue his Brazilian international teammate as his successor.
Newcastle are naturally determined to hold onto their captain, and his recent absence has already shown how indispensable he is — the club suffered a heavy 8-3 aggregate defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League and were beaten at home by Sunderland in the derby, underlining just how much they depend on him.
Reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that United officials held meetings with Guimaraes’ camp to explore the possibility of a deal. However, journalist Andy Mitten, speaking on the Talk of the Devils podcast, said he had no knowledge of such discussions from his own sources. Mitten suspects the player’s representatives may be using United’s reported interest as leverage to negotiate a better contract with Newcastle, though he acknowledged he couldn’t confirm this.
Guimaraes is currently contracted until 2028, and Newcastle are eager to tie him down to an even longer deal. His agent, Alexis Malavolta, added to the intrigue by responding to the swirling speculation with nothing more than a question mark on social media.
