Mauricio Pochettino believes Nicolas Jackson is on the right route to becoming a more dependable goalscorer at Stamford Bridge, according to TEAMtalk.
This season, the 22-year-old has six Premier League goals in 13 appearances, including a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur.
However, not everyone is impressed, with former Chelsea player Craig Burley recently suggesting that he would rather see Armando Broja in the starting lineup.
Pochettino, on the other hand, appears to have faith in Jackson.
Can Nicolas Jackson establish himself as a consistent goal scorer for Chelsea?
We believe he can. Jackson is still only 22 years old, therefore he has plenty of time to improve as a striker.
The Senegal international has only been in England for a short time, but his Premier League record is solid, albeit inflated by his hat-trick against a nine-man Tottenham Hotspur side.

Jackson is also working under a fantastic coach in Pochettino, which will benefit him as he strives to become a top centre-forward.
However, Jackson could take years to develop into a consistent goalscorer, and Chelsea desperately needs one right now. They are outside the top four and far from the teams vying for the Premier League title.
If the Blues are to re-enter the race, they must find a consistent source of goals right now. Pochettino cannot afford to wait for Jackson to develop into that.
That is why it would be ideal if Chelsea could sign someone like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, but that is easier said than done. The Italian club will be reluctant to let go of their star, especially in the middle of the season.
Pochettino may have to pin all of his hopes on Jackson for the rest of the season as a result.
