N’Golo Kanté has been seen in London today as he gets ready to sign a loan contract with Chelsea Football Club for a period of six months till the end of the season. The arrival of the France international is something that fans at Stamford Bridge are looking forward to with great anticipation

N’Golo Kante could be making a surprise return to top-level European football on loan this January, with the Telegraph reporting that Chelsea are simultaneously in the market for midfield reinforcements during the current transfer window.
The 34-year-old French midfielder, who enjoyed a glittering seven-year spell at Stamford Bridge that saw him lift six major trophies including the Premier League, Champions League, and Europa League, is now entering his third season with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad.
While Chelsea continue their search for a new central midfielder, they’ve opened discussions with Juventus over a potential deal for Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian international is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest but has struggled for consistent game time, making just five Premier League starts throughout the campaign.
According to the Telegraph, Chelsea’s recruitment strategy is centered around signing a midfielder who already has Premier League experience under their belt, with the club exploring several viable options in the market.
Kante himself is reportedly available for a loan switch until the end of the season, driven by his ambition to force his way back into Didier Deschamps’ France squad ahead of this summer’s World Cup finals.
However, the plot thickens. Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano revealed this week that Turkish heavyweights Fenerbahce have emerged as frontrunners in the race for Kante’s signature, and they’re determined to fight off growing interest from Premier League clubs.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano explained: “Fenerbahce are really pushing hard to get this deal over the line with Al-Ittihad. They’re working tirelessly because they know several Premier League clubs made contact with Kante’s representatives over the weekend, trying to gauge whether there’s an opportunity to get involved in the transfer.
“That’s why Fenerbahce are being so aggressive with their pursuit. Despite the competition, they remain confident that Kante genuinely wants to join them and is keen on the prospect of moving to Turkey to play for Fenerbahce.”
The coming weeks will reveal whether the beloved former Chelsea star makes an emotional return to England or opts for a new challenge in the Turkish Super Lig.
