Argentine midfielder Facundo Buonanotte has cut short his Chelsea loan and moved to Leeds United for the remainder of the season after struggling to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old managed just a single Premier League appearance for the Blues following his summer loan move from Brighton. With opportunities proving scarce, both clubs agreed to terminate the arrangement early, allowing Leeds to swoop in and secure his services.
Chelsea had won the race for Buonanotte’s signature ahead of Leeds during the summer transfer window, but the midfielder never found his footing at the club. After an unconvincing debut, he was left out of Chelsea’s Champions League squad entirely, signaling his diminishing prospects under the management.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke has now successfully brought in the attacking talent as the Whites battle to maintain their Premier League status heading into the second half of the campaign.
