Manchester City are reportedly lining up a blockbuster €100m offer in a bid to secure the services of Real Madrid’s star player this summer

Real Madrid is set to kick off their LaLiga campaign on Tuesday, August 19, against Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu. As the new season begins, the club is also navigating several transfer stories that could impact their squad.

One of the major transfer stories surrounding Real Madrid is the potential departure of Rodrygo Goes. According to reports, Manchester City is preparing to make a substantial offer of €100 million for the Brazilian forward. Rodrygo’s role in the team has been complicated by the arrival of Franco Mastantuono from River Plate and the rise of Gonzalo Garcia, which has led Xabi Alonso to reconsider his plans for the 24-year-old.

Despite Rodrygo’s impressive statistics last season, registering 14 goals and 11 assists from 54 games across competitions, he is no longer seen as indispensable by Real Madrid. The club is reportedly willing to consider his departure, with Manchester City emerging as a strong contender for his services.

The Citizens have identified Rodrygo as a potential replacement for Savinho, who could be leaving the club in the coming days. Manchester City’s offer for Rodrygo is said to include €80 million upfront, with a further €20 million in add-ons, in an attempt to convince Real Madrid to let him leave.

This potential transfer would be a significant move in the summer transfer window, with implications for both Real Madrid and Manchester City. As the transfer saga unfolds, it will be interesting to see how the situation develops and whether Rodrygo will make the move to the Premier League.
