Manchester United have ‘just made an offer’ for £52m midfielder, discussions held with representatives
Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with representatives of Senny Mayulu over a possible move in the upcoming summer window, according to fresh claims from Media Foot, adding another twist to the growing interest surrounding the highly rated youngster at Paris Saint-Germain.
At just 19, Mayulu is already being tipped as one of the most exciting emerging players in French football, yet his long-term future in Paris remains far from settled. Despite having a contract that runs until 2027, the teenager has not committed to an extension, even after PSG tabled what is believed to be a lucrative new deal in a bid to secure his services.
The uncertainty has alerted several clubs, and Arsenal have now entered the race. Reports suggest the North London side have already approached his camp with an offer and are hopeful of gaining an advantage, particularly if negotiations between the player and PSG continue to stall.
One of Mayulu’s biggest strengths is his versatility on the pitch. Naturally a central midfielder, he has also been deployed further forward, even featuring as a centre-forward for significant stretches this season. Across 32 appearances, he has been involved in 10 goals, underlining his attacking threat, while also catching attention with a stunning long-range strike against Chelsea in the Champions League.
Beyond his offensive contributions, the young Frenchman has shown maturity in his overall game. He boasts an impressive pass accuracy of 89 percent in Ligue 1, while also contributing defensively with consistent duels won, tackles made, and recoveries completed. His composure on the ball and ability to influence different phases of play have only strengthened the belief that he could develop into a top-level performer in the near future.
PSG are understood to value Mayulu at around £52 million, though that figure may not hold firm given the contract situation. With time not entirely on their side, the French champions could be forced into negotiations at a lower price. For Arsenal, a deal in the region of £30–35 million, potentially with performance-related add-ons, would represent a calculated and forward-thinking investment if the current stalemate continues into the summer.
