Chelsea are facing growing calls to dismiss Liam Rosenior following a 3-0 loss at Everton on Saturday — a result that compounded an already miserable week after the club were thrashed 8-2 on aggregate by PSG in the Champions League. He framed Rosenior’s appointment as a well-intentioned but ultimately failed experiment — giving a young English manager an opportunity that simply has not worked out — and argued the club must now move on to someone with a proven track record.
On Fabregas specifically, Jennings pointed to the Spaniard’s Chelsea connections, his title-winning spell at the club, and his strong early work in management as reasons why he would be the ideal candidate. He did acknowledge, however, that Fabregas may have too much ambition and self-respect to take on a club currently operating in such a dysfunctional manner.
