BREAKING NEWS: Big injury boost For Micheal Carrick as key Man United returns back from injury and ready for remaining fixtures ahead-Club doctors confirmed

Manchester United returned to winning form on Sunday with an impressive 3–1 victory over Aston Villa at Old Trafford. Goals from Casemiro, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko sealed the win, while Bruno Fernandes delivered another standout performance in midfield.

The result boosted United’s push for Champions League qualification next season. Michael Carrick’s side now sits three points ahead of Villa in the race for a top-four finish. It was an even better weekend for the Red Devils as both Chelsea and Liverpool failed to win their matches, leaving United six points clear of Chelsea and five ahead of Liverpool.

There was also encouraging news before kickoff as Mason Mount returned to the matchday squad after spending six weeks on the sidelines with an injury. Although he remained on the bench and did not feature, his return is seen as a positive boost for the team.

However, United still have several injury concerns. Bryan Mbeumo was substituted late in the game, with suggestions he might have been limping, though it may simply have been a tactical decision. Meanwhile, Lisandro Martinez continues his recovery after a training setback, while Matthijs de Ligt and Patrick Dorgu are also still working their way back from injuries. All three are currently expected to return around mid-April, possibly in time for United’s clash with Leeds United.
