The same reports suggest that Bellingham has reached an agreement in principle with United that would allow for a swift exit should there be a managerial change in Madrid. United, still attempting to restore their former dominance in the years since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure, are believed to be monitoring the situation closely as part of their ongoing rebuild.
Interestingly, the narrative takes another twist, with claims that Bellingham would remain at Madrid if Klopp does not take over. That stance feels somewhat contradictory given Klopp’s previous admiration for the midfielder during his time at Liverpool, when he openly praised Bellingham’s qualities and influence.
The idea of Madrid cashing in on Bellingham after just one difficult spell seems far-fetched. He was instrumental in delivering both the Champions League and La Liga titles in his debut season, quickly becoming a fan favourite. A dip in form during a single campaign does not typically justify the sale of a player considered central to the club’s long-term project.
