Manchester United finally completes the deal to sign £100million superstar- Official unveiling set to hold tomorrow.

Manchester United are reportedly considering reviving their interest in Douglas Luiz, with Juventus now open to selling the Brazilian midfielder when the transfer window reopens. According to sources from GIVEMESPORT, the Serie A side is prepared to listen to offers as low as £30 million, a significant drop from the over £42 million they paid to sign Luiz from Aston Villa just a year ago. Juventus’ willingness to take a loss reflects their intention to reshape their squad, and Luiz—who found consistent game time hard to come by last season—no longer figures in their long-term plans.

The Red Devils have already shown their intent to overhaul their squad after a disappointing 2024/25 campaign in which they missed out on both trophies and European qualification. They recently secured the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million and remain active in the market, with Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo also on their radar following a rejected opening bid. Ruben Amorim, the man now in charge at Old Trafford, is said to be keen on strengthening the midfield and could turn to Luiz as a relatively low-cost, experienced solution.

Manchester United were previously linked with Luiz during the January window, but a deal never materialized. However, the current circumstances could pave the way for renewed negotiations. Juventus are still undecided about a potential loan move but are reportedly prioritizing a permanent sale. Despite his struggles in Italy, Luiz remains a valuable asset, especially considering his prior Premier League experience with Manchester City and Aston Villa. At 27, he’s still in his prime and could offer versatility, composure, and leadership to United’s midfield, whether playing deep or box-to-box.

While Tottenham Hotspur have no interest in pursuing Luiz, other Premier League sides such as Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, and newly promoted Leeds United have all been monitoring his situation and may consider making a move. His agents are already exploring possible destinations, anticipating activity once the initial 10-day transfer window period closes.

Manchester United’s interest in Juventus players may not stop with Luiz. Dusan Vlahovic has also emerged as a potential target, as the striker looks for a fresh challenge in the Premier League. As Amorim continues to reshape the squad, both Luiz and Vlahovic could feature in United’s plans, especially if moves for more expensive targets like Joao Neves fail to materialize.
