BREAKING NEWS: Ex-United Star Demands One Major Exit Before Sealing Old Trafford Return.

In a surprising development that could significantly impact Manchester United’s midfield setup, former player Scott McTominay has made it clear he’s eager to return to the club—but only under specific conditions. The Scottish international reportedly wants to trigger a clause in his contract that would allow him to make a comeback to Old Trafford. While acknowledging Napoli as a respectable team, McTominay emphasized that it doesn’t compare to Manchester United, which he still considers his true home.

Despite his willingness to return, McTominay has set a firm condition—he won’t come back if a certain unnamed individual remains at the club. He blames this person for his original departure and even hinted that their influence may have driven other players, including Aaron Wan-Bissaka, away. According to him, the individual in question caused deep disruption within the squad, and he refuses to rejoin an environment he perceives as chaotic.

McTominay left United in August 2024 for a transfer fee around £25.7 million to join Napoli, although United retained a 10% sell-on clause as part of the deal. His exit came during a significant squad reshuffle led by Erik ten Hag, who had previously shown interest in keeping McTominay despite offers from other clubs.
