Chelsea New manager Enzo Maresca is set to sign Manchester City Trible winner as Chelsea’s first signing this season for £60m

The off-season means that players are either gone on international duty or having a well-deserved rest following another exhausting Premier League season.

Several Manchester City players will represent their country in the coming weeks as they prepare for Euro 2024 in Germany. The event starts on July 15.

Aside from the playing personnel, there will be a lot of action at Manchester City as the new season approaches. Some of that tasks will entail identifying transfer targets and evaluating the team to determine players’ futures.

As a result, City has sparked several headlines in the previous 24 hours. The Manchester Evening News has looked at a few of the most recent developments and offered our own opinion.

Former City player completes Chelsea move
Enzo Maresca, a former City assistant manager, has officially been named Chelsea’s next head coach, barely one year after leaving City.

The Italian coach served as Pep Guardiola’s assistant during the treble-winning season before taking over as manager of Leicester City last year. He guided the Foxes to the Championship title and immediate promotion to the Premier League.

However, he will now be in charge of Chelsea rather than Leicester versus City next season. He has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with an option for an additional year.
