Manchester United interested in €100m transfer for Real Madrid star in statement summer deal

Meanwhile, United’s interest in Valverde coincides with fresh speculation about club captain Bruno Fernandes. TalkSPORT pundit Ally McCoist recently suggested that the Portuguese playmaker might be tempted by a switch to Real Madrid, especially given the struggles at Old Trafford. According to McCoist, Fernandes deserves to play alongside higher-caliber teammates, and a move to Madrid would be difficult to reject if the opportunity arose.
Since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in 2020 for a reported €65 million, Fernandes has been a standout performer for United.
