Man United fans demand a signing to replace one player after Fulham disasterclass

The match at Craven Cottage, which kicked off at 7 pm, turned out to be a rather uninspiring contest, with little action of note until Lisandro Martinez’s deflected shot finally broke the deadlock in the 78th minute.

Despite securing back-to-back victories following their dramatic Europa League win over Rangers on Thursday, many Manchester United fans were left frustrated with the team’s performance. A key point of disappointment was the lack of attacking threat, as United managed just a single shot on target throughout the entire game.

Once again, criticism was directed at £67 million signing Rasmus Hojlund, who struggled to make an impact. The Danish striker registered only 10 touches in the opening half and appeared ineffective, often failing to control the ball and losing possession when passed to.

His struggles continued after the break, leading to his substitution in the 58th minute, with Joshua Zirkzee replacing him in an attempt to inject some energy into United’s attack. Hojlund’s underwhelming form has been a growing concern, having scored only twice in the Premier League this season. Even more worryingly, he has failed to find the net in 37 of his 49 league appearances, a statistic that highlights his ongoing difficulties in adapting to English football.

Frustrated fans took to social media to express their dissatisfaction with Hojlund’s performances. One supporter suggested selling him to Coventry City, while another bluntly described him as the worst striker to ever play for the club. Some fans even called for him to be sent out on loan, believing he needs further development away from Old Trafford.

Comparisons were made to former United striker Wout Weghorst, with some arguing that he was a better option than Hojlund. Others went as far as saying that if Sir Alex Ferguson were still in charge, he would have already offloaded the struggling forward.

The growing discontent among the fanbase reflects the mounting pressure on Hojlund to justify his hefty price tag and deliver consistent performances for the Red Devils.
