Ruben Amorim shocks the fans after he reveals that Paul Pogba has made his feelings clear on Man United return.

Former French international Bacary Sagna has suggested that Paul Pogba could embrace the opportunity for a third spell at Manchester United, highlighting the allure of working with new manager Ruben Amorim. This comes as Pogba, currently without a club, seeks to rejuvenate his career after a series of challenges.

The 2018 World Cup champion recently ended his association with Juventus by mutual consent, having made only 12 appearances during his second tenure in Turin. Pogba’s career hit a major hurdle in September 2023 when he received a four-year doping suspension after inadvertently ingesting a banned substance. However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced the ban to 18 months, allowing Pogba to resume training in January and return to competitive action by March 2024.

At 31, Pogba remains a player of immense ability. Sagna, formerly of Arsenal and Manchester City, believes a return to Old Trafford could be on the horizon, citing Amorim’s influence as a decisive factor. Speaking to Mega Dice, Sagna outlined why the Portuguese coach could play a pivotal role in facilitating Pogba’s comeback:
“Manchester United has changed significantly since Paul was last there. With a young, dynamic coach who has played at the top level, Amorim understands situations like this. He would likely welcome Paul because he knows how much United means to him.”

Sagna also shed light on Pogba’s deep connection with the club, despite a challenging second stint spanning six years and yielding two trophies.
“I’ve had many conversations with Paul, and he truly loves United. His return didn’t go as he had hoped, but he wasn’t the only one struggling during that period,” Sagna explained.

The current state of United’s midfield could make Pogba’s return even more plausible. Injuries to Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte have left the team shorthanded, with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen struggling to see out a full match during a recent 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town. Amorim, focused on rebuilding the squad, might view Pogba’s experience and creativity as a crucial asset.

Although questions linger over Pogba’s fitness and form following his extended absence, the prospect of reuniting with Manchester United under Amorim has added a compelling dimension to his comeback journey. Whether this move will come to fruition remains uncertain, but the possibility has undoubtedly sparked interest.
