Manchester City wants to pay Erling Haaland £500k-a-week and he will be highest paid player in the premier league but only on one condition
In order to extend Erling Haaland’s contract, Manchester City is looking to make him one of Europe’s highest-paid players.
Haaland has been a revelation for Manchester City since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022.
In just 114 games for the club, he has scored 105 goals and provided 14 assists.
Pep Guardiola famously declared in a tearful interview after winning the Premier League in 2021 that the team would be unable to replace Sergio Aguero. However, the Spaniard has clearly discovered someone at least as excellent as the Argentine in Haaland, whose goal-scoring statistics have recently been spectacular.
There has been speculation for some time that City wants Haaland to sign an upgraded deal. Manchester City are thought to be more optimistic that Haaland will extend his contract at the Etihad.
However, a fresh accusation has been made concerning Haaland, and it appears that one issue is dragging down discussions.
