FIFA Has released a Full 2024 Ballon d’Or voting breakdown reveals Rodri’s margin of victory over Vinicius Jr in controversial contest

The Manchester City player got the prestigious award last month, beating Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid for second place. Today, L’Equipe published the exact breakdown of how the foreign jury of specialized writers voted. Rodri beat the Brazilian by a mere 41 points.

THE RANKINGS FOR THE 2024 BALLON D’OR (1–15)
Rodri from Spain plays for Manchester City and has 1,170 points.

Vinicius Jr. with 1,129 points from Brazil and Real Madrid.

British player Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), 917 points.

5. Norway’s Erling Haaland (Manchester City), 432 points.

Real Madrid did not go to this year’s Ballon d’Or because they thought Vinicius Jr. would win the 2024 Golden Ball, which made it one of the most controversial ones ever. Even though Los Blancos won a lot of gongs that night, they did not go to the event in Paris to protest.
