Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola has been sacked this early morning after losing back to back and his replacement has been named
Manchester City took a battered and bruised team to Bournemouth – and lost their first Premier League game of the season.
Bournemouth beat Arsenal at the Vitality Stadium in their last home game and took a point at Aston Villa last time out. City’s first loss of the season happened last week when they lost to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup with a team that had a lot of changes. City had lost two games in a row in all competitions, but this was their first loss in the league.
When Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, and Jeremy Doku returned to Pep Guardiola’s team, Savinho, Manu Akanji, and Josko Gvardiol were still out with injuries. The injury list now has John Stones and Ruben Dias on it, though.
City was not playing well, and Antoine Semenyo’s turn and finish put them behind in the first half. Evanilson scored two goals in the second half, and even though Josko Gvardiol scored a consolation goal and City made a late comeback, they did not get the win at the Vitality.
