“We are going to win the league this season with him. No Manchester United coach has ever promised the club as much as he did. He is the special one for us”-“FANS ARE SHOCKED” as Ruben Amorim makes ‘promise’ to Man Utd fans during Sporting Lisbon press conference after move finally ‘confirmed’

Ruben Amorim has reassured Manchester United fans that an official update on his potential move to Old Trafford is on the way, with confirmation expected soon.

During a Thursday press conference, the 39-year-old Portuguese coach addressed the speculation surrounding his future and hinted that fans won’t have to wait much longer for a definitive answer. Although he is rumored to be close to a deal with United, he urged supporters to remain patient until an official announcement.

Amorim stated, “I understand the interest and why you traveled here to discuss this topic, but we’ll save those details for after the game.” His comments came ahead of Sporting’s league match against Estrela Amadora. “Once the match is over, I’ll address everything,” he said.

Acknowledging the complex nature of the situation, Amorim explained, “It’s a negotiation between two clubs, which is never straightforward, even when clauses are involved. But after the game, all will be clarified. Just one more day, and we’ll have a decision.”

Amorim made it clear to the media, saying, “I promise, once the match concludes, I’ll explain everything. Right now, discussing it would only sidetrack the team. My attention, and that of the squad, is on the game.”

Despite ongoing discussions with United, Amorim has remained dedicated to his duties at Sporting, recently leading his team to a 3-1 win over Nacional in the Taca da Liga. Sporting, currently unbeaten in their league campaign, could maintain their impressive streak with a tenth consecutive win tomorrow.

According to The Telegraph, Sporting’s agreement with United could be confirmed later today. However, Amorim may remain with Sporting for three more games, including a significant Champions League matchup against Manchester City on November 5. If all goes smoothly, he could take charge of United following the international break, possibly making his debut on November 24 against Ipswich Town.
