The face of Manchester United is expected to leave in January, with three European giants intrigued.

Things haven’t been going well under Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, and as the January transfer window approaches, while a major overhaul is unlikely, there is a possibility that one of the club’s most recognizable players, Marcus Rashford, could be on his way out.

Rashford, who will turn 27 by the end of this month, is entering the phase of his career where players typically hit their peak. Ten Hag once compared him to Kylian Mbappe, but with just 12 goals in his last 58 games (according to Transfermarkt), that praise now seems far-fetched.

There are growing rumors that Rashford may leave Manchester United when the transfer window opens in January.

Recently, Rashford himself hinted at tension with his manager, saying that Ten Hag had “gone mad,” suggesting the Dutch coach may have lost control of the locker room at Old Trafford.

After eight matches in the Premier League, Manchester United sits in 12th place, trailing first-place Liverpool by 10 points. The team has only scored seven goals so far this season, a record that is better than only three of the bottom four teams in the league.

This highlights just how poor United’s performances have been over the past year, and it’s no surprise that some of Europe’s biggest clubs are interested in Rashford.

According to TeamTalk, Bayern Munich and Marseille are both considering making moves for Rashford at the start of the new year, following earlier interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite having made over 400 appearances for United, a departure may be inevitable for Rashford, as his form has been on the decline. Unless the club parts ways with Ten Hag and Rashford finds renewed motivation, a move abroad seems increasingly likely.
