How is that a Red Card? 😱😱VAR on this again Manchester United Captain Bruno Fernandes DIRECT RED CARD FOR THIS CHALLENGE ON MADDISON 😱
Tottenham defeated Manchester United 3-0 in the Premier League on Sunday.
Brennan Johnson put Spurs ahead in the third minute after some poor United defending, setting the tone for the home team’s dismal first-half performance. Johnson almost doubled his score after hitting the post, and United’s job of recovering from behind was made much more difficult when Bruno Fernandes was sent off for a nasty foul on James Maddison.
Dejan Kulusevski made it 2-0 early in the second half, and Dominic Solanke capped the scoring with a late tap-in.
Here are the player ratings at Old Trafford.
Andre Onana
To keep the score low, James Maddison and Timo Werner were denied one-on-one opportunities at 1-0 and 2-0, respectively. 6
Noussair Mazraoui
Had little protection from Alejandro Garnacho against Destiny Udogie, and Tottenham’s mobility caused him lots of problems. 4
Matthijs De Ligt
A far second-best of the two Dutch defenders on the field. Tottenham’s pace and ferocity often make me nervous. 3
