After speaking with the Red Devils coach, James Garner said Erik ten Hag was “tight” and that his days at Manchester United were limited.
Before joining Everton in a £15million contract with add-ons, 2022 the midfielder played seven matches for his childhood team.

“My conversation with him went rather naturally. I asked him straight forwardly if he envisaged me performing a part or whether I would be in the team. I decided to move as I thought the chat did not proceed as planned.
Garner’s departure from United followed an outstanding loan run at Nottingham Forest, where he was instrumental in achieving Premier League promotion in the 2021–22 season.
