Ahead of their Premier League meeting with West Ham United on Saturday, Pep Guardiola’s team revealed this on their website.

“Joao Cancelo has transferred to Al Hilal in a permanent transaction,” the Man City announcement said, in part.

From Juventus, Cancelo signed with Man City in the summer of 2019.

Past loan spells for the Portugal international were with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Speaking upon his relocation to Al Hilal, Cancelo said to Man City’s website: “I would want to wish everyone at City continuous success in the future.

“My time here at this wonderful Club brought many extremely unique events.”
