Burnley has finalized a deal with Manchester United for the permanent transfer of Hannibal Mejbri. Originally, the move was planned as a loan with a mandatory purchase clause, but it was later converted into a full transfer after the midfielder successfully passed his medical examination.

Hannibal, now 21, joined Manchester United’s academy from AS Monaco in 2019. However, he struggled to break into the first team under the management of Erik ten Hag. After spending time on loan at Birmingham City and briefly at Sevilla, the Tunisian international found himself on the outskirts of the squad.

Although he was part of United’s pre-season tour in the United States, Hannibal was left out of the matchday squads for the first Premier League games of the season, signaling that his exit was imminent. The transfer, reportedly valued at around €9 million, will see Hannibal continue his football journey at Turf Moor with Burnley, where he aims to revive his career under the club’s management.
