“He has a problem with his ankle. He picked up the injury during training and he is definitely going to miss next Premier League match against Brighton.” – Thia is according to Manchester United Manager Erik ten Hag as he confirms Manchester United hero in the match against Fulham will miss the Brighton match as he got an injury during training.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that center-back Victor Lindelof will be sidelined for the upcoming match against Brighton due to an injury.

The Red Devils kicked off their Premier League season with a victory over Fulham, thanks to a late goal from new signing Joshua Zirkzee, which secured them all three points.

However, ten Hag has disclosed that Lindelof is suffering from a toe injury and will not be available for Saturday’s clash against Brighton.

Speaking on Manchester United’s official website, the manager clarified, “There’s no doubt; he has a toe issue. We hope for a swift recovery, but he won’t be fit for the weekend.”

This injury adds to Manchester United’s growing list of fitness concerns, continuing a trend of setbacks affecting their squad.

The team is currently dealing with injuries to several key players, including Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro, and Rasmus Hojlund.

Left-back Tyrell Malacia has also been grappling with long-term fitness issues, while Lisandro Martinez and Mason Mount faced challenges last season due to recurring injuries.

Despite these hurdles, Erik ten Hag still has options in the center-back position for the Brighton game, even with Lindelof’s absence.

He can turn to Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire, or Matthijs de Ligt to step in. The Red Devils have bolstered their squad with strategic signings this summer, giving them more depth and quality compared to last season.

As they gear up to face Brighton, who began their campaign with a 3-0 victory over Everton, Manchester United will be looking to continue their winning start to the season.

Joshua Zirkzee, who netted the winner against Fulham, is likely to make his first start for the club.
