“We are finished we are not winning the league ‘No thanks’-Chelsea fans sent into panic mode after Key Player has announced he will be leaving Stamford Bridge this Season
Under new head coach Enzo Maresca, Chelsea are back in Premier League play today (Sunday), starting the fresh season.
Manchester City, the current Premier League Champions, is hosted by The Blues at Stamford Bridge (4.30pm kick-off). Maresca has been getting his squad ready for the game and the season, but there has been plenty of action away from the field.
Since last season’s end, the club has finished nine incoming transfers for nine players. Several players have also left Stamford Bridge throughout the summer.
The transfer business seems not done there. While the Blues are negotiating arrangements to migrate further into pastures new, the organization remains connected with players. Football.london has considered some of the most recent developments in light of this and offered our opinions on the matter.
Striker messengers
Though his management has not ruled out a departure, Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran has made a strong indication that he will be remaining at the club past summer. Early in the summer, the Colombian was connected to Chelsea; he was also connected to West Ham.
Named on Villa’s bench for their Premier League encounter against West Ham, Duran made an impression by scoring what turned out to be the winning goal. Pointing to the earth and himself, he celebrated as though to be saying “I am staying.”
