Erik Ten Hag Drops Worrying Update For Manchester United Fans Ahead Of New Season 🚨🗣 Erik ten Hag admitted his Manchester United team is “not ready” for the start of the Premier League 🔴…. Fans are all saying the same thing …🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 🗣️”he’s just making excuses already” Do you think Erik ten Hag has a point in his recent update .
Erik ten Hag has sent a word of caution to Manchester United fans, expressing that his squad is not fully prepared for the upcoming season.
United is set to kick off their new campaign against Fulham at Old Trafford on Friday night. However, Ten Hag believes his team isn’t completely ready due to the absence of several key players who were involved in Copa America and Euro 2024. Despite this, he assures that the squad is clear on their playing strategy and will stick to their established principles.
“It’s true, this pre-season has been challenging; we haven’t had the usual five to six weeks to prepare a cohesive team,” the United manager stated. “We started with the squad for the USA tour, then integrated players returning from the Euros and Copa America, and now we have the new signings to consider as well. We have to construct a team from these pieces.
“The team isn’t fully ready yet, but the league is starting, and this is a challenge many managers are facing. Still, we have a framework in place and principles to guide us. We can’t hide from this; we must handle it.”
Ten Hag confirmed that new signings Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui will be available for the Fulham match and stressed the importance of not losing points before the team reaches peak form. “We’re complete now, and have been training together for 10 days, but it will take time,” he added.
“There are other teams in a similar situation. Early in the season, it’s crucial not to drop points. We must work hard, stay organized both in and out of possession. Although we’re not yet at our best, we need to take each game as it comes, improving and elevating the performance of both the team and individual players. We’ll see how fast we can progress in this process.”
Despite the challenges, Ten Hag remains optimistic about United’s ambitions, particularly after the club’s £150 million investment in four new players. He expressed the club’s intention to win more silverware. Having already won the FA and Carabao Cups in his first two seasons, Ten Hag stated, “Our expectations are always high; we aim to compete for trophies.
“We are clear about our objectives and the direction we need to take. Now it’s about integrating the new players into the team to enhance our overall performance.”
United fans are frustrated by Luke Shaw’s recurring injuries, especially after his recent stint with England at Euro 2024. However, Ten Hag remains calm, reassuring that Shaw’s current injury isn’t severe and that he will be back soon.
Shaw is currently sidelined with a calf injury, but United expects him to return after the first international break next month. “He will be back soon; it won’t take long,” said Ten Hag. “We’re eagerly anticipating Luke Shaw’s return. He’s a crucial player for us, and we want him back as quickly as possible, but we won’t rush his recovery.”
