Pep Guardiola broke down in tears after Key Manchester City Star boy who was suppose to be the main man against Chelsea has been injured this evening
Just few days before the new Premier League season began, Manchester City star Oscar Bobb suffered a horrific injury.
Oscar Bobb was anticipated to be crucial in Man City’s attempt to capture a record-extending fifth consecutive Premier League title in 2024-25.
During a run of cameo appearances last season, the 21-year-old winger made a strong impact, notably when he scored a last-gasp winner in a 3-2 victory over Newcastle in January.
Bobb had a great pre-season with City, and on Saturday set up City’s equalizer against Manchester United on the Community Shield.
Originally one of Pep Guardiola’s first choices on the right wing this season, the Norway international appeared set until Wednesday the word leaked that Bobb had a broken leg.
Early on Wednesday evening, whispers began to spread before Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail verified the information.
Bobb is scheduled to remain off-action for several months even though City has not finished a detailed examination.
Though Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku can all play there too, Bobb’s absence leaves new recruit Savio as Guardiola’s major alternative on the right side.
Along with Julian Alvarez’s leaving Atletico Madrid, this significant injury set-back might cause City to enter the market looking for a new attacker.
City’s Premier League championship defence starts with a somewhat challenging Sunday, August 18 trip to Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.
