Manchester United have completed the sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham United, and are now on the verge of finalizing transfers for Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt.
Wan-Bissaka, 26, has officially moved to West Ham United in a deal valued at £15 million. The right-back, who joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace in 2019 for £50 million during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure, made 190 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils. During his stint at the club, Wan-Bissaka netted two goals, provided 13 assists, and won both the League Cup and FA Cup.
His exit has paved the way for Erik ten Hag to refresh the squad, with Noussair Mazraoui expected to fill the gap at right-back.
The acquisition of Mazraoui, a former Ajax player, along with Matthijs de Ligt, is anticipated to be confirmed shortly by Manchester United. These transfers, facilitated by Ineos, are reportedly worth a combined £51.5 million, including additional clauses.
Wan-Bissaka has committed to a seven-year contract with West Ham. He departs Old Trafford with the club’s best wishes, and many of his former teammates have already sent him well-wishes.
Jadon Sancho, who was reintegrated into the team this summer after a public falling-out with manager Ten Hag last season, was among the first to respond to Wan-Bissaka’s Instagram announcement. In a brief six-word comment, Sancho wrote, “My family! All the best brother!” accompanied by a fingers-crossed and a red heart emoji.
