Manchester United’s Dream Front Three Revealed!
Manchester United continues to hold hope in their pursuit of Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who is currently valued at £40 million. If the deal goes through, Toney could become a key figure in bolstering Erik ten Hag’s offensive options.
At 28 years old, Toney is entering the final year of his contract with Brentford, and the club appears willing to consider offers around the £40 million mark. Despite Manchester United’s £36 million acquisition of Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee in July, which initially seemed to signal the end of their interest in Toney, the English international has remained closely linked with a move to Old Trafford.
United’s need for another striker has become more urgent following the news that Rasmus Hojlund will miss the start of the season, leaving Zirkzee as the only seasoned striker available. Zirkzee, who represented the Netherlands at Euro 2024, was absent from all of United’s pre-season fixtures and is unlikely to feature in the upcoming Community Shield clash against Manchester City on Saturday.
