Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia was reportedly hospitalized following an incident involving a suspected drunk driver earlier this month. Malacia was in a Range Rover owned by his teammate Marcus Rashford when the accident occurred. Rashford was driving a separate vehicle at the time.
On July 16, Rashford’s Range Rover, driven by one of his friends with Malacia as a passenger, was struck by a black Mercedes C220 AMG sport. The Mercedes was driven by a woman who was initially detained at the scene by police and later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was taken to Macclesfield Hospital for a check-up, as reported by The Sun.
Both Malacia and the driver of the Range Rover were also recommended to visit the hospital but were soon cleared by medical professionals. The next day, Malacia and Rashford resumed training with Manchester United.
