Manchester United encouraged to break the bank and buy a €100 million striker who may become the next Van Nistelrooy. Manchester United have been informed that they should recruit another centre-forward following Joshua Zirkzee’s sensational move for Victor Osimhen.

Manchester United have been advised to bolster their forward lineup following Joshua Zirkzee’s stunning acquisition as a replacement for Victor Osimhen.

Earlier this year, Zirkzee caught the attention of both Arsenal and AC Milan, but it was Manchester United who secured his services with a long-term contract.

The Red Devils finalized the deal with Bologna, exceeding his £34 million release clause to bring the Dutch striker on board.

At 23, Zirkzee is set to challenge and support current No. 9 Rasmus Hojlund, who was overburdened last season as Manchester United’s primary striker.

Manchester United’s Dan Ashworth and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are now focusing on reinforcing other key areas of the team, such as central defense and midfield.

They have already secured Leny Yoro and are considering further signings, including Matthijs de Ligt, Jarrad Branthwaite, and Manuel Ugarte.

However, former United striker Louis Saha, who netted 42 goals in 124 appearances for the club, has urged Ratcliffe to make a bold move for Osimhen.

“My dream summer signing would be Victor Osimhen from Napoli, he would be perfect for Old Trafford,” Saha remarked.

“If I were in their position, I’d do everything to bring him from Napoli; seeing him in a United shirt next season would be amazing. His work ethic, goal-scoring prowess, and confidence remind me of strikers like David Trezeguet or Ruud van Nistelrooy, who had a knack for attracting the ball.”

Man Utd news: Osimhen would be a ‘proper striker’ for Ten Hag

“Proper strikers are rare these days, but Osimhen is undoubtedly one of them,” Saha added.

The comparison between Osimhen and Van Nistelrooy is timely, as the Dutch legend has recently returned to Old Trafford to join Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff.

Van Nistelrooy is expected to help Hojlund and Zirkzee become more prolific scorers, and he might extend his guidance to Osimhen if Manchester United manage to secure the Serie A star. However, Ashworth and his team must act swiftly, as Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly progressing in their negotiations with Napoli.

PSG are increasingly confident of landing the Nigerian star in a €100m (£84m) deal, despite his release clause being over £100m.

Should PSG succeed, it could pave the way for Chelsea to offload Romelu Lukaku, with Antonio Conte keen to reunite with him at Napoli.

If PSG fends off all rival interests and signs the 25-year-old Osimhen, he will likely replace Kylian Mbappe at the Parc des Princes.

Osimhen, having previously excelled in Ligue 1 with Lille, would be eager to set new records in France with PSG.
