Chelsea Manager Enzo Maresca is Set to Sign £35Million Manchester United FLOP Player who Erig Ten Hag don’t want in his squad
According to sources in Brazil, Chelsea is in discussions to sign Andreas Pereira, a midfielder for Fulham.
This summer, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Omari Kellyman, Renato Veiga, Marc Guiu, and Tosin Adarabioyo are the five new players that Enzo Maresca’s team has added.
However, they are still looking to add to their roster in order to strengthen it even more in front of the upcoming Premier League campaign, and the club is shortlisting a new central midfield player.
Globo claims that Chelsea has already been in touch with Kia Joorabchian, Pereira’s agent, to talk about the possibility of the Brazil international moving to Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to the source, Maresca has given his personal approval for Chelsea to pursue Pereira, and the team is prepared to offer Fulham as much as £35 million.
According to reports, Pereira and Fulham have verbally agreed that Pereira may leave Craven Cottage in the event that they get a competitive offer.
Monaco has also made an approach for Joorabchian. Monaco finished second in Ligue 1 the previous year and will play in the redesigned Champions League this year.
Pereira would want to stay in London and sign for Chelsea, though.
With just one year left on his contract, Conor Gallagher may depart Stamford Bridge before the summer transfer window closes. Chelsea has identified Pereira as a possible replacement for Gallagher.
Pereira, on the other hand, spent the summer vacationing with his family in the United States after making three substitute appearances for Brazil in the Copa America.
At the end of the month, he is expected to travel to Fulham for their preseason camp in Portugal.
Two years ago, Fulham acquired Pereira from Manchester United for a sum of £10 million. The Brazilian played in 37 Premier League games last season, tallying three goals and seven assists.
